Happy Families: ask for the cards of a category with the class's words
Fruit, farm animals, clothes: Lexikit sorts your words by category and makes a family of each, with its own colour. Every card shows the picture, the word and the list of its family, the card's own word marked. The child reads whom to ask for: “In the fruit family, may I have the apple?” A game to use the vocabulary again while sorting it into categories.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need seven families?
No. Lexikit makes as many families as your categories allow, up to eight. Three families of four cards are enough for two or three players.
A word is in no family. What can I do?
Open Categories in the options: you can sort the word into a category by hand, or make a category of your own.
Can we play with word families?
Yes, with the Happy Families of word families, which has its own page. In “Create a resource”, switch to the “Word families” side: each family gathers words formed on the same root, lait, laitier, laitage, three or four cards each. The word families exist in French, German and Spanish.
