Sort by prefix or suffix: dé-, re-, en-, -ier, -age

At the top of the page, mixed-up words: décoller, recoller, endormir, déchausser. Below, a column per prefix. The child recognises the piece each word starts with and writes it in the right column. The families of the resource choose the prefixes: “coller” brings dé- and re-. Lexikit then completes each column with other words of its checked list. Set to suffixes, the sheet sorts jardinier, laitier, jardinage and laitage under -ier and -age. The word families exist in French, German and Spanish. In German and Spanish the sheet sorts by suffix: their families have too few prefixes for now.

Why does the sheet add words that are not in my list?

A column of a single word cannot be sorted. Your words choose the prefixes or suffixes, and Lexikit completes each column with words of its checked list of families.
