The sentence flip book
In this sentence resource, each sentence becomes a strip and each word an illustrated, numbered flap.
From a few sentences, Lexikit now makes a little book. Each sentence is a strip of paper, and each word a flap with its picture and its number.
Since 20 October 2026, the book is no longer in “Create a resource”. A book already made still opens. “The sentence factory” lets the child make other sentences with the resource’s words.
Making up sentences
The strips are cut into flaps. By turning a single flap, “The cat eats an apple” becomes “The rabbit eats an apple”, then “The rabbit washes an apple”. The child makes new sentences, sometimes funny ones. The child sees that a sentence has places: who, does what, to what.
Parts of speech in colour
The flaps can take the colour of their word's part of speech: the noun, the verb, the determiner. The “Sentence structure” setting fixes the places. Each flap then falls under a word of the same part of speech, and the sentences can be swapped piece by piece.
The book accepts up to 16 words per sentence, on two rows.
