Lexikit

Feature

Send your work to another device

A link carries your resources, folders, words and settings to another computer or a tablet, with no account.

Lexikit keeps everything on the device, with no account. This choice protects privacy, but it makes it harder to go from the school computer to the one at home. Settings › Data now has “Send to another device”.

All your work in a link

Lexikit gathers all your work, compresses it and writes it into a link. The link can be sent by message or read with a QR code. Your data comes after the “#” sign of the address, a part the browser never sends to the server. It is stored only on your two devices.

Adding without erasing

Opened on the other device, the link adds what is missing without replacing anything. A resource already there is not copied twice, and opening the same link twice adds nothing.

The size of the link

Ten resources fit in about 5,000 characters. With several hundred resources, the link would be too long for messaging apps, and Lexikit then suggests the backup file. Your personal photos and recordings always go through this file, because a single photo would take more space than all the rest.
