Shapes, strokes and the alphabet to print
Three themes to print for the whole year: shapes, pre-writing strokes and the letters of the alphabet, as a picture dictionary, bingo and memory.
Three themes used all year round in preschool now have their page on the website: shapes, pre-writing strokes and the alphabet. Each page has its picture dictionary, bingo and memory game, as PDFs to print as they are.
Strokes drawn for Lexikit
The straight line, the wavy line, the zigzag and the spiral exist in ARASAAC. The bridge, the battlement, the cross, the dotted line and the loop do not, or only with another meaning, such as a loop of hair or a bridge over a river. I therefore drew them for Lexikit, in a black line like the pictograms, so that the child sees only the stroke.
Shapes and letters
The flat shapes go from the circle to the hexagon, with the words that come with them in class: big, small, trace, cut out. The alphabet shows each letter as a capital, the first form children learn to recognise.
The “Customise” button of each page opens the theme in Lexikit, to keep only a few letters or add your own words. Solids, the third geometry theme, stay in the app, in “Start from a theme…”.
