Shared lists

A word list common to a team, up to date for each member. Each person makes their own resources from it.

A team often chooses the words of a term together. Lexikit now keeps these words in a shared list, up to date for each member. In the “Share” window of a resource, “Create a shared list” makes one with its words. You send the link to colleagues, who join the list with their first name, without an account.

The list

A shared list is a “Word list”. It opens like a resource, with the words column and the word window. A word added or removed goes to the team. The right sidebar shows the members, “Invite” and what changed. The pencil at the end of your row changes your first name, for the whole team. A word removed by mistake comes back with “Put back”.

On the home screen, the list is a row of “My resources”, with a lilac tile. To start an empty list, “Create a resource” has a “Shared list” tile.

Your resources

“Create a resource with these words”, in the list, or “Start from a list…”, in an empty resource, makes a bingo, a memory game or a worksheet. This resource stays yours and does not go to the team. When the list changes, it shows the words added or removed. You take them with “Add to the resource” or leave them with “Not now”. I made this choice because a bingo already printed should not change without you knowing.

Who can read the list

Your browser encrypts the list before sending it. The key stays in the link, and Lexikit's server cannot read the words. Only the words leave, with their lexicon pictogram. Your photos, sounds and resources stay on your device.

Anyone who has the link can read and change the list. It is best to send it to the team only. If the link has gone too far, the person who created the list can change it from “Invite”. A deleted list stays 30 days in the trash. For the other members, it becomes an ordinary list, and a message says so. A list nobody opened for two years is erased from the server. It comes back as soon as the person who created it opens Lexikit. If something does not happen as described here, write to me through “Your feedback”.

From a bingo, “Share” then “Create a shared list”. The list opens with its team on the right.
