A theme for Taste Week
The “Taste” theme gathers the flavours, the foods and the words to describe what you taste, to prepare Taste Week.
Taste Week takes place every year in October in France. The “Taste” theme gathers the flavours, the foods that carry them and the words to talk about them: salt, sugar, bitter, sour, lemon, honey, chilli, to taste, to lick.
Words to describe
A tasting makes you want to talk, and you need words to do it. This theme brings adjectives such as “spicy” or “delicious” and verbs such as “chew” or “swallow”. The child can then say more than “it's good”.
The theme fills a picture dictionary, a bingo or a memory game, to prepare the tasting or keep a record of it.
