The official texts and Lexikit's choices

Lexikit's resources follow the French curricula and the Eduscol guides. Choices that come from no text are presented as such.

In October 2026, Lexikit's resources were reviewed against the French official texts: the 2024 and 2026 curricula, the 2026 back-to-school circular, the Eduscol guides and the general inspectorate's report of June 2026. The quotations are translated from French.

Screens

The ministry writes that in nursery school the pupil “may use screens very rarely and always collectively” (Growing up with screens, 2025). Lexikit is therefore designed first for a screen shared on the board.

Games that get pupils talking

The general inspectorate's report notes that bingo or memory games “may indeed lead to merely naming the words learnt”. Each printed game can end with a rule card, with sentences to say while playing.

Writing

The Eduscol guide on vocabulary in nursery school asks for tools made “exclusively” of pictures as long as the pupils cannot read. The cards and the picture dictionary can therefore show the picture alone. The 2026 back-to-school circular rules out “gap-fill texts”: gap-fill exercises leave Lexikit.

Lexikit's own choices

Some choices come from no text. The handwriting worksheets have no box per letter, which would cut the word up. The Lexikit Script font follows the advice of Cap école inclusive: no serifs, and space between words.
